EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with the EXS24 sampler in Logic 7
not being able to find samples located in an external
firewire tower. 

I created an alias of the sampler instruments file
that resides in the firewire tower in the Logic Pro
folder. The exs instruments and associated samples
reside next to each other in the same folder on the
external drive. Now I would think that when I select
an exs instrument to be loaded, it would find the
instrument and related samples and load instantly
since they are in the same folder. But this does not
happen, the sampler searches every external drive and
still does not find the related samples.

I have changed the EXS24 sampler to scan all volumes
and external volumes with the same results. I've even
run EXSManager and while the program loads much more
quickly, nothing else has changed.

What's going wrong and what do I need to do to get the
sampler to find and load the related samples?

Turns out that Arthur did use a cd burning software that modified his 
filenames.
In general, at least the basic "Joliet" format should always be used or 
the files will be renamed to 8+3 MSDOS, damaging the library.
