May I just raise my voice to tell how incredibly stupid this new sort of organisation is?
Seems as if nobody at Emapple ever heard about "never change a winning team". The previous organisation of EXS patches in either
Logic or song subfolders was clear (well, as much as the EXS is clear at all... which it certainly isn't) and understandable.
But I've seen countless questions about the instruments folders since L7 hit the streets.
Fortunately I still don't have to face such nonsense every day, it'd drive me mad.

People keep asking about this issue because they fail to understand
the logic behind OS X. I like it myself. Now whenever Logic is updated
we no longer have to drag our old EXS folders, Autoloads, Preference
files and so forth to the new Logic folder. Each recent version of
Logic knows where these things are found.

I have to agree that now that I understand it better, I also like the
new organization. It allows for room to grow and to better manage and
accommodate larger libraries, multiple autoloads, templates, channel
strip setting libraries, etc. It can seem like a bit of unnecessary
complexity at present, but I have a feeling it will be invaluable in a
generation or two from now once we have all "grown into" all the new
features and functionality.
