use of the Group "trigger on note release"

use of the Group "trigger on note release"

Are there some of you using the Group feature "Trigger on : Key
release" ?

Having made samples of my harpsichord (in fact, a one keyboard italian
virginal) I try to make a Harpsichord instrument with the damper noise
when key is released, but it seems not working : nothing happens when
the choice "Key Release" is made for that parameter.

As an example, I create a feature test instrument using factory EXS
samples :
2 Zones
- Zone #1, Audio File #1 (let's say "12STRG40MIC", first of 12 string
Dual Instrument)

-Zone #2, Audio File #2 (as example "ASAX D2", first of "Alto Sax"
instrument)

I let Zone range and Key note unchanged, so both cover the whole
keyboard

2 Groups :
Group #1
All parmeters unchanged so
Trigger On set on ; Note On, or Key On (don't know the exact english
words here as I have a french version)

Group #é
except for
Trigger On set on ; Note Off, or Key Released (?)
all parameters remain unchanged.

I set Group parameter of Zone #2 to "Group #1, and of Zone #2 to Group
#2.

If I understand well the doc, on key release, I would have the Zone #2
(so the Sax sound) sounding, and other parameters are not relevant for
that purpose, but nothing happens.
Do I miss something, or is it a bug ?

Thanks

Trigger On should be set to "key release" and set a value for decay,
(long enough to hear something, e.g 500 - 1000ms at least)

I think you mean zone #1 to group #1 zone #2 to group #2 ???

This should work

I'm away from Logic at the moment but as far as I remember it's that simple.

OK, that's the point I've missed (didn't noticed this parameters, which
is only seen when "Trigger on" is set on "Key released" ! :-(

Yes, indeed ! (copy & paste mistake :-D

and it does now.

Thanks a lot ;-)
