memory requirement? best drum vst/cdrom?

2005-07-02 by tony vincent

wondering how much memory i should have in my comp.‹ and how much really
won¹t make a difference. at the moment i have 1GB. i DO use exs and plugs
quite extensively and just don¹t want to get into drama with cpu overloads
and such...
dual g5 (2.0)
logic 7.1
tiger
metric halo interfaces
also.. any thought on the best drum cd/vst? for real kits (brushes &
blastics included) as well as more sampled sounds? does one or two vsts or
cdrom collections do this amazingly well...
...thoughts?
