2 brilliant free drumkits

2 brilliant free drumkits

2005-09-26 by Sascha Franck

Hi folks,

As of lately there's been quite some discussion about drums, so I thought I'd post this here. Some very kind soul named Salvador
Pelaez has made two drumkits available for free.
They're in HALion format but I'm almost done mapping the first kit for the EXS (manually, *sigh*...), will post it in a bit.
But, as you need the original samples anyways, I recommend getting them allready. Here's the link:

You will most likely have to register, but Spe3d/Peter (the dude running the site) is a top bloke and you will never be harassed
with spam or whatever. Registering is as painless as it gets, too. Plus, you may find some other gems up there as well. And you can
even share your music there, if that's what you're into.

As said, I'm gonna post the first EXS version later on.

Regards,
Sascha

Hi Sascha, I'm on a Mac with Logic Pro 6.4.3 and I downloaded the
drums and your maps and edited the names as you suggested. I also had
to change the outputs back to "Main" because I only have two outs in
my MBox. Question? Do the names also have to be edited in the .exs file?
Also, should the sample folders be placed in a certain way? I got
cymbals only for a while but then placed the "Drum kit 1" folder on
the main directory but now I get nothing. Sorry to be a pain after all
your efforts. Thanks Wayne
