Keymap

Does anyone know if Redmatica's Keymap is still a viable product in
waiting... or has it evaporated into the Apple ether?
We certainly need something better than the current Exs editor.

I had been in contact with them some weeks ago : they are working on
it. There is more delay than planned, but they told me it's worthwhile
to wait ;-)

Them, they? I thought Redmatica was an |SRL Unipersonale|, which means Andrea is the only one in it...

Anyway, he must be very busy: he hasn't updated his website for months!

That was an impersonal "they" for Redmatica ;-)
Effectively, he is the only one I ever had contact with, but I didn't
know he is the one of Redmatica. That can explain the delay …

For sure.
But actually, I don't worry for the delay : he wrote me to be patient
and that things are late but are going on ; other products are quite
good so I'm also confident for that next one.

Yes, this looks very promising.. I just hope it is not too complex..
I had a look at the run down the other day and it seems to be
extremely comprehensive.

To all exs users,

Keymap is awesome.....
If you do any sort of tweaking inside exs24 then you need Keymap
Andrea is selling it at a discount for owners of other Redmatica apps
(AutoSampler, Exs Manager Pro)

I looked through the manual and there's no reference to system
requirements. (Sorry)

Keymap is incredible by the way - I'm slowly working through the
manual and this app is so deep.....it's worth upgrading to 10.4.x if
necessary.... ;-)

Oops, then I'm out of the game. G4 here only.

That's sad. Keymap looks really nice...

Not so, I'm running a DP1.25 G4.... and Keymap is awesome!

My experience too, DP1.67 G4 works OK for me. Who told you it required a G5?

Ken, Keith,
we are officially saying "G5 or Intel" because the user experience
will be better, but as you have seen, there is actually nothing that
forbids you from running Keymap on a G4. Maybe we are too
conservative in our suggested requirements, but we prefer doing it
that way.

Ah, that's good. Another question, does it run with 512 MB RAM or
does it need more?

Hi Ingo,
yes it runs, but you'll really want to have 1GB...
