An EXS instrument template?

An EXS instrument template?

2006-09-18 by ctransler

Hi,
I'm looking for a very basic .EXS instrument template to use with garageband. Basically, I
use garageband mostly just for real instrument samples, rather than software instruments,
but I'd like to be able to trigger my sound samples with my keyboard. I can accomplish
this to a certain extent by changing the directories for files in existing .exs instruments
(just using a text editor), but I haven't been able to find an .exs instrument which has
multiple octaves of ordinary, no-frills links to wav files.

Can anyone help?
Does this request make sense? (It seems like it is not a very complicated thing, since the
tricky part about making .exs instruments does not appear to be specifying a range and
linking notes to files)
Is there a better question I should be asking?

Thanks-

Raphey

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
