EXS reloading ALL inst at Save

EXS reloading ALL inst at Save

2006-10-02 by Julie Larson

Hi All,
Every time I save, Logic reloads all audio instruments. As you know
with large libraries and symphonic music this can take a Loooong time
not to mention the "that's not the way it's supposed to work"
factor. Does anyone know the answer to this. I've re-launched,
restarted, opened a new song file.... problem still there.

Logic 7.1.1 Dual 2.7 G5 with 6.5 GB
Thanks,
julie

Perhaps you accidentally swapped the keycommand for save with the one for save as project?

Does the reloading also happen if you select save from the file menu?

Cheers
Hans

Check your project settings.
If you untick "Save instruments with project" or something like that
(don't remember the right name properly) it should work without
reloading. At least it works here...

Best,

Helge

Dang...

what if you look at the file in the Finder? This is a really long shot, but are the file permissions of the file or the folder containing the file set correctly?
Is it perhaps a stationery, although it then should open as a copy and the name should be different...

Coming to my wits end...

Cheers and good luck!
Hans

Julie

Maybe you could find help at this forum:

http://www.logicprohelp.com/

- I've never used it but it seems pretty active.

Just a thought.
