The MIDI patch control functionality of the EXS can't be found in the 
keycommands section, it's under the EXS preferences. Open the GUI, go to 
"Options > Settings". You'll find a "next instrument" and "previous 
instrument" entry there. Delete the notes you may find there and you should 
be good to go.

Sascha, I cannot thank you enough. I had asked this same question at the Apple Logic forum, and two guys told me to read the manual, which I had already researched.

Instead of being flippant in that manner, you merely answered the question, accurately, and without a trace of what we call in the US "attitude". I am very grateful to you.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
