Autosampler and loop editing

Autosampler and loop editing

2007-09-21 by Glenn Gutierrez

I just picked up Autosampler and I'm digging it for the most part.
This is a rescue mission for some sounds from my older and lesser
gear. The incredible shrinking studio, etc.

The problem now is: I've never edited so many loops in EXS24. My
clicking finger is begging for mercy. Are there any shortcuts which I
don't know about (Logic Pro 8), such as enabling all loops across all
samples/zones at once, setting the start/end/crossfade times to the
same? I can fine tune the loops after they are set, but having a
starting point for each would save a lot of time.

Thanks,
Glenn

Did you find an answer to this, Glenn?

I notice "the competitor's" product (Samplit) has an autoloop function which (if it works)
could potentially save a ton of time. But what about AutoSampler's sister product,
"Keymap"? Seems like an awesome product... the whole Compendium bundle (which you
already own part of) would kick *ss.

Cheers!

Dave.

It would indeed kick *ss if I did this kind of thing often. But with
the current exchange rate, $290 for Keymap alone just isn't worth it
to me. In the end, I got very good at clicking all those little
checkboxes. The new layout of the editor in Logic 8 is nice. I was
hoping I had overlooked something even nicer.
