Re: [exs] G4 Softsynth compatibility!

I just tried running EXS24/ES-1/ReBirth/RetroAS.1 [ver2][via rewire] together on my g4/400 [320mb RAM] LAP4.6, ATA66-7200rpm drive, 6voices polyphony in ES-1 8voices polyphony in RetroAS-1. It ran very rough on the RetroAS-1 end, the redraw froze and the retro audio was crackly. It was fine with the other 3 running, I don't know if the Retro VST plugin would behave differently. When I have more time I will try some different settings [buffer , polyphony etc], and some other VST2 instruments, but I daresay it will probably work with some tweeking, [and maybe a G4/450MP, hehe] I can't see why Reaktor couldn't be substituted for Rebirth, given enough RAM and CPU grunt. Dave Eager [oink] oh and I WAS running Netscape at the same time gcpmusic@... wrote: > > > Hi Group, > > Does anyone have any problem in playng back from Logic PLT > all > togheter > this softsynths: Reaktor / Bitheadz AS-1 / Emagic EXS24 > sampler and > Emagic ES1 Synth? > > EG Recording 4 different midi tracks for each synth and > have > them > playng back all togheter. > > A dealer today told me that is not possible to playback > all > the > Synths > in the some time.
