EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I know the answer is no. But does anyone have a workaround? I want to 
setup a controller to turn up and down a single group in a multilayer 
of groups for a string patch.. This should be possible with a serious 
sampler don't you think. I'd like to be able to hear it happenning in 
real time. I know we can split out to multi exs24's, but you can hear 
that happen in real time, only with playback.
