exs Zones

Hi

Is there any way to move all the zones in an instrument at the
same time?

I want to move all the drum sounds to a different part of the
Keyboard in order to merge two programs, but at the moment I
am doing them one by one!!!

Welcome to the "user friendly" interface of the EXS24 Instrument editor.
Unfortunately no operations work this way on multiple zones.

If you do a multiple sample import and you want to make them all "one shot"
you can't just select all and tick one box -- you have to do it for every
one. It is now 15 months since the release of EXS24 so unless a whole new
editor is being built you would have to suppose that building instruments
yourself is not a priority with the developers.

Ditto!!! I really hate the fact that I can't grab groups of samples on the
keyboard visual section of the editor and move them up or down. I really,
really hate this (despite the fact that I really like the EXS24). It's
amazing to me that this hasn't been implemented. There's obviously code
already in the software that allows the selection of those samples, so
logically in theory it should be easy to increase those note settings when
the mouse is moved to the left or right. Although I'm not a programmer, it
doesn't seem liek it would be that hard. This would also provide a mean of
importing other groups of samples chromatically and quickly moving them to
their new positions. Of course, it would still be nice to be able to
designate the starting note of a chromatic import, but I'd much rather get
the former capability first!!!!!!!! Emagic, please address this. Halion is
whippin' your butt in this area of editing. I want to be able to adjust key
ranges on the fly and move the entire range to different sections of the
keyboard at will. Here's a pipe dream: double-clicking on the key-range
(zone) in the graphic keymap display would allow me to quickly enter the
root key, but I know this will never happen.

Oh, well. I dream on...
