hi !
i got some problems with reading a akai-cd with my exs24, my cd-rom
is working, but it seems that the sampler can`t read the cd, although
with other applications it works ?????
another question, how can i write midi informations in my midi files,
like pitch bend, with guitarpro i can export midifiles in logic with
this informations, but how can i write it in logic itself ?
thanx,
björne

This is the problem - its probably a hybrid CD-ROM..? Mixed formats?
You need to burn the Akai section to a CD on its own.

or easier yet...if you're on a mac...a pre 9.1 version
of the Apple CD/DVD driver will do the trick.

I can't get EXS to read Akai either! I have Apple cd/dvd version
1.3.5 and am on 9.0.4 and am not using mixed cd. In fact EXS
has read these akai before with no problem. It just suddenly
stopped. Other applications read them fine. I have been forced to
used Osmosis and convert to Samplecell and then convert these
in EXS. But if anyone has any more ideas to try please ... spill the
beans!
hi ,
Launch Logic without the VstPlugins folder ,
then load the akai disk in EXS .
It works even with mixed Akai disks .
( i've found that solution after replacing the 9.2.1 CD/DVD driver
with the 9.0.4 one on julie advice , but i still had the problem.
So maybe it works with the 9.2.1 CD/DVD driver too . )

Hi
Well, that works. Big thanks, as I thought I had tried everything. I
removed VST folder and EXS is recognizing akai again! How
weird!?! I have put a few magazine freebies in vst recently, so I'll
work backwards and remove what I have to do get it going with
VST. But I can't understand exactly why it should be happening!!
I haven't testing mixed cds yet, but I've heard the fiddly
workaround for mixed cd and this is such a simple solution
never hinted at before!
Excellent.
