This depends. I am working for a value added reseller over here in Germany
and we hear _very_ different opinions on Windows 2000. Some have it running
fine, others have biiig problems with Win2K. Some even say its much less
stable than Win98 (speaking of a clean, fresh install of course!).

Personally I dont know how you come to the conclusion above: My Platinum
is performing great with Win98SE, crashes extremely seldom (probably less than
once a week due to very heavy usage sometimes _and_ despite using an AMD
processor).

HA-HA-HA :-))) Sorry that I laugh here, but _please_: You cannot be serious
about a crack performing better than the actual software!
Besides this, IMO this is not the forum to recommend or promote the usage of
illegally cracked software.

Urgh! "real" operating system? Win2K? After all the bugs reported?
Well, well, well - I dont care if its called Windows 3000 or
"Hypellium" or whatever _if_ it works. And Win98SE works like a charm
on my machine (and many others I know, too).

Well wait on Service Pack 1 for Win2K and see...

Ah, come on. You know _it is_ illegal, so why are you asking then?

No, the best solution is to continue working with 98/me
and wait a little more until Emagic releases a win2000 compliant
logic audio.

Me for first want to run logic on win2000,
but reality is: you can do all of your music work on 98/me
right now with no hassles. Win ME runs particularly well btw.

Who care for _reported_ bugs when it's running stable ? And it is.

Why wait ? It's out since a few months.

yeah... a little more... haha... I'm waiting since several years for
that... (yes, i know, win2000 is not several years old... substitute
it with nt4) :-(

Well, thats your experience, but believe me we know a lot of people
who have totally different feelings about Win2K.

Still my point was: Why do we complain about LAW not running on Win2K
when it really works fine on Win98SE? Isnt our job to create music
rather then installing new OS versions?

...just my personal point of view.

BTW: Emagic have repeatedly told that they are indeed working on a
Win2K version of Logic, so all I would suggest is to be patient. Even
if it takes longer than expected it is sure that a Win2K version will
come (Emagic cant take the risk of not having it).

Look on www.tomshardware.com

On Tom's site he claims that Win98SE outperforms
WinME. Just adding my piece!!
