Hi gang

Has anybody understood what the merge program function does 
in the Akai convert page?

It sounds obvious, but I don't understand its use, and the manual 
doesn't even show that it exists, as I think the manual is 
somewhat earlier than the actual program.

Is it some fantastic way of taking all the separate programs with 
individual drum hits and making them one program, as I would 
love to be able to do this without having to do it manually!!!!

CDXtract 3.6 allows you to merge separate programs into one, so far
the programs have to be in the same volume but the next version will
allow you to merge programs from anywhere. I'm about to finish this
next version (PC and MAC) so if you have any special request that
could make your work easier I would be happy to hear them
(preferably of list). For those of you who are waiting for the Mac version
I will very soon update my website with some screenshots.

Special request! I'm not sure if you do it yet, but I was wondering if you
could go from MESA (Akai / Mac) to exs. I have archived every job for the
last three years using MESA and would really like to decommisision my ailing
S3000 in the near future. So, knowing that I could dearchive old  Mesa
sessions would make me a customer ;-)
