ASIO was developed to take care of your problem, so why not go with a sound
card that supports ASI02?
I had a two or three Soundblaster cards and all I had was problems....I
have the Midiman Delta 44 and its great....

Thank you for your answer. Another question. Does the Midiman Delta 44 have
a wavetable synth and a headphone output. Do you know of a "pro" card,
supporting ASIO, whos got this?

You're right that most of the "pro" cards that support ASIO only support audio.
You could try using the DirectX drivers for the Soundblaster if available. This
will
bring the latency down but you won't be able to record audio through them.
