Hey all, trying out the Reply function on my digest version of the list.
Let's see how it works...

I just bought EXS24 for my LAMP system, and I'm happy so far. Until this
weekend, I've been using an outboard AKAI S2000 sampler with all the
headaches involved there. I'm thinking about selling the S2000 now, but I
think I'll keep it for live stuff, if that ever happens :-)

For what it's worth I found the software at Mars Music (www.marsmusic.com)
for $249 USD. That's by far the cheapest I've seen it. They had a 2 hour
holiday sale at the local store this past Friday, where everything was 10%
off, and I scooped it up for even cheaper... yeah!

I'm not an expert at using the product yet (give me a few weeks), but I've
logged about 10 hours with it, so far. My advice? Get it...

Funny that..
Since i got EXS24 my Akai S1000 has been gathering dust and is likely to end
up being a shelf for something far more exciting. Maybe I'll be able to sell
it for enough to buy a 256 meg memory chip. Far more useful now.....
I expect well be hearing more stories like this
Peace
Lee
