Saving instruments and sample ?

2002-01-24 by Raphaël TIDAS

Hi,

I am going to work wwith exs 24 soon and i was wondering if the "save as"
command means that you can save instruments and samples in a new folder ?
The current logic songs folder for example?
Thanx.

You should check out the songrelated sampler instrument feature.
Since this is included in one of the upgrades, you will find it
documented in the upgrade manual, downloadable as pdf from emagics
website, www.emagic.de. Look for products -> exs24.

Hi there Raphael,

Set up a key command (options/settings/keycommands/) for 'Backup audiofiles
of all USED and ACTIVE instruments of current song' - when you apply this
key command whist the edit EXS edit window is active you'll be asked where
to backup the samples to.

best audio interface for exs24 (latency)?

2002-01-28 by j enrique gc

hi there everybody,
were're looking for the best interface in terms of latency for a mac, any
ideas/ experiences?
with a G4 466 under mac av i get something like 200ms (unusable).
i've tried the emi 2/6 and with its settings set to "fast" i get 6-7 ms wich
makes it quite like a hardware sampler, it's even good for drums. Anyway,
the thing now is that having pci slots int the tower to home an audio
interface i'm wondering if the usb route (the emi 2/6) would the the best
idea

Wich other pci card in the price range of the emi gives similar results with
macs?

thanx in advance, from Mallorca
