Vibraphone Uploaded

2002-02-09 by elikca

Hi All,

I'm at work (fast IP connection-YES!!) and I just uploaded the
vibraphone file to the ftp site Garth mentioned. It's in the incoming
directory. Can someone please try and download it and see if it
uploaded properly.

I'll be here for another two hours or so and will check back before I
leave in case I need to re-upload it.

Do I need a ftp client to be able to download it? Or could you point
to the exact directory ftp://soundcentral/incoming "and then
something" like exs or what?

Yes, it worked.
I have just downloaded your Vibra from:
ftp://ftp.soundcentral.com/pub/unsorted/

I havent listened yet but it worked.
Thank you Eli.

B.t.w i downloaded the "Splendid Grand", 161 meg of totally 186 meg at a
speed of ‰2-3000 k/second (despite I have DSL) from Akai ftp when I erased
downloads that had not work in I.E (This was a completely unneccesary
operation.)
and.......... I.E. crashed.

24 hours later I have to start all over again.
Thank you up there whoever you are!!!!!!!

I have posted a page - your choice:

www.chickensys.com/exs

or

www.chickensys.com/esx

Just to eliminate any mass confusion.

Two type are provided - sit for Mac, and self-extracting exe for PC (this
RAR, which does it's impeccable compression!). The exe has the updated .exs
from Sascha for the paths. I'll do the Mac one tomorrow.

I will move these to www.soundcentral.com on Monday. My sysadmin/partner
decided to be non-contactable this weekend. The addresses will be the same
expect for soundcentral instead of chickensys. Redirects will occur on the
previous.

Nice samples Eli. Loaded them and they work nicely. Probably the best
non-drum samples I have for now :-)

Thank you Eli,and all others concerned.
I'm going to try it out now.

Good Vibes all round then..propper community.

It only took me about 5 days to get the Grand Piano from the Akai ftp but
that was because I was using IE5 and it crashed all the time.
First time I took my own advice and used MacOS Network browser all was well
(after an 18 hr DL!).Are the EXS conv. files around?

I would like to know how I can convert all those lovely sounds from Akai!!

Ok so how do I do to convert them to my EXS??

I can see that they have wav. files included and Akai program I just wonder
how to make them EXS format as easy as possible???

Can I burn all the stuff and just open it with EXS or??

The best,

Alvaro Villalobos.
