Sharing a string Instrument
2002-02-11 by Michael Karlsson
Hi everybody! I love Sascha and Eli´s sharing attitude, so I want to contribute to this as well. I made a recording a couple of years ago with strings from Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Violins & Cellos. There are 3 violins playing in unison and 2 cellos in unison. (Cellos in the lower part of the register) Then I have overlapped the samples so there are 6 violins and 4 cellos heard at the same time. (Also spreading out a bit of stereo at the same time) The loop points are always hard to do but I think they are OK. The attack is quite direct, (I like it that way) but it´s easy to smoothen it down if yoy prefere that. It´s almost 4 megs big in .zip-format Oh, the samples have no file ending ,but its .aif (Eli´s samples worked without fileendings for _me_ so I hope it works for you too) You find them at the same place Eli put his Vibra i.e. ftp.soundcentral.com Then choose "Pub" "Unsorted" The file is called: M.K.Strings.zip Guaranteed no stolen samples. (Or should I talk to the violinplayers first?................) Try it and if you dont like it.....Throw it away! Michael
