If I understood you right you didn't get all the original files from the
Akai site? I could burn these files onto a CD-R and snail mail it to you if
this would help you and our community.

Cool... hold for a lil bit on that though. I am grabbing the last lil 
bit right now. If they lock me out again (I've been hammering their 
site pretty hard) then I might need it.

See how we go.

If I understand you right Björn, you have downloaded the files from 
the akaipro ftp site.?! Maybe you also live in Stockholm? ;-)

yes, but it isnt ideal really as the conversion process is not 100%.

for example the 256 mb piano has 1 ovtave where the envelope setting
need editing. Notes sustain when they should not.
You cant edit on the exsp24 so those patches will be less than ideal.

as I mentioned previously I am simply converting them and making them
available to people as is.

I didnt do that much really aside from what I would have done for my own
use. 
Zip them up and put them on the web.
I am generally a lot more protective of my own sounds but these were web
freebies so no big deal.
