Audiowek8 or something else?

Audiowek8 or something else?

2000-12-10 by Mark Holloway

Hi everyone. I just switched to the EXS24 but I only have two analog outs.
Naturally I'm looking for a replacement card (looking for 8 analog outputs)
and found the Audiowerk8 used on ebay around $200. The M-Audio Delta 1010
(8 analog, 2 SPDIF) is a little more than double but I'm wondering if it's
worth the price. I'm also using the ES1 soft synth as well. I noticed the
Audiowerk is RCA versus Balanced/Unbal on the Delta 1010.

Does anyone here use the Audiowerk8 with their EXS24? I'm plugging into a
Mackie 32:8 mixer. I'd really appreciate any feedback on performance of the
AW8, noise, hiss, etc..

Thx,
Mark

Hey, go for the Audiowerk8. It's exceptional, and you should be able
to buy one brand new for the price you quoted.
