Fwiw, this is fixed in LA5.

I agree. The EXS needs quite some improvement here.

Murray McDowall has been uploading some templates to the file area of Yahoo
quite a while ago. I think they are based on the Wizoo LM4 sets. With them
you only have to load the appropriate samples into your zones, quite a time
saviour it seems.
If you can't find them I could have a look and post them.

thanks. i found the templates and i'll give them a try.
5.0 is on order.
otherwise it's back to the zone by zone thing.
or maybe i'll just buy battery and save myself some time.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
