I do it automatically - I wrote a perl script that loops through all zip or
rar archives in a given directory and extracts each of them to their own
folder - I simply copy any archives in my "bulkzip" directory and run the
script, and it neatly extracts them all...

There are probably other ways of achieving this as well...

There are...

I simply selected all zipfiles in a directory, then dragged them to
the same directory using rightclick. In the dropdown menu that
appears, choose "unzip to directory..." (or something like it). Since
dir information is already included in the zipfiles, new directories
will be created for each zip. This is still a bit by hand since you
have to browse through all directories by hand, but I'm not sure it
isn't as fast as creating a script for the job... At least you get to
do a whole directory at once, instead of doing the zipfiles one by
one.

If you are on Windows, TurboZip maybe is what you want:
http://www.filestream.com/turbozip/downloads.html (shareware)
or try this:
http://www.alberts.com/authorpages/00005515/prod_631.htm (shareware)
or this:
http://www.simtel.net/pub/pd/54812.html (freeware)

Google rocks, just entered: "unzip multiple files" (without the quotes) and
it got me all those in 5 seconds.

Sascha

By far the easiest solution is to download Stuffit expander
(http://www.stuffit.com/ for Mac or PC and also free) and drag the folder of
zips to the icon. It'll unstuff all zips and leave them in their respective
folders. Easy! -Jer

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
