I had the exact same problem.  I called emagic and they emailed me an older
version/extension? of apple cd whatever, so I installed that and saved the current
one in "disabled extensions" I believe.  Sorry to be no more specific- it was a few
months ago.  It works fine now.  They are aware of the problem.

You can also temporarily remove the "Audio format" extension 
from your system folder - then the mac cannot recognize an 
audiocd, and the problem does not occur.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
