Unity Session?

I don't want it. But if I had OS X drivers for my MT4, could I at
least play it?

Not a very good description on the site. I can't tell whether this is a true
VST instrument or not. It's useless to me if it isn't. I don't consider an
OMS/rewire solution to be much competition for the EXS. What exactly do they
mean when they say VST compatible. If it's a true VST plugin, I'm all over
it. My Unity v1 is still sitting on my shelf almost completely unused. If
anyone knows about the VST implementation, I'd sure love to hear more about
this. Thanks, Jer

Session? Jeez, they've managed to make it even
uglier than their previous software (Voodoo
excluded - that's got to be the worst). I wasted
my time on their demo yesterday (how _do_ they
choose their demo sounds? Flutes and clarinets
that sound like whistles...). Don't make the same
mistake people. Now here's something to really
make you think about adding another sampler to
your collection:

Their previous VST support was really poor...not really a plug-in and many
limitations of how many available sounds you can have access to, etc. I'd be
suprised if this had been changed in Session as they don't dig VST very much.

I've read several articles since. VST compatible is not reassuring. It
doesn't sound even as well-integrated as Absynth. If I go for another
sampler it would likely be Kontact.

New gear at NAMM

2002-04-07 by HELP@MusicBootCamp.com

Hope I spelled NAMM right... Anyone check out all the new VST software in
Keyboard magazine? Very impressive tools on the horizon. What a great place
to be in music. I'm so glad my studio is software-based. The possibilities
are increasingly astounding. -Jer

Re: Bitheadz throws down on EXS, yo - EMAGIC NB!

2002-04-08 by pschaufuss

If someone from Emagic reads this, they should check it out and
contact BitHeadz, the features listed for EXS24 are not correct.

They don't mention that EXS will read AKAI, SampleCell and SF2
files, They write that only 16 instances can be used (it's 32 now)
that write that it only works with Logic (not true for the VSTi
version) etc.

It's Ok for companies to make comparisons, but then they
should have their facts right. I know some of the things I
mention is only true for version 5.0 of logic, but most of the
features are also true for 4.8

Very bad behaviour BitHeadz !!!

Peter

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
