I don¹t think they are available online, but the printed manuals that come with the ES2 and EVOC20 are quite well done. (I just got both yesterday). that's what i've heard and that's cool. however, it would be great for ten-thumb brains like mine to have some guidance on the way to the potential purchase... i tried using the evoc on a vocal track via the side-chain and couldn't get it to work...only after i assigned an object to the audioinstrument in the arrange window and wrote a triggering note in it...however then the note was ringing and didn't follow pitch... could be i'm just missing something...thanx for your response, markus...perhaps if you get a chance you could check in your manual for me...i'd appreciate it...best,mn >From: "Markus H. Micke It might help if you read the online description of the EVOC20 at eMagic's website. It is actually three different instruments. One is a classic vocoder that is set up like an audio instrument (sounds like what you have set up), which needs MIDI input and uses the side chain for processing of the sounds. The second is a monophonic pitch vocoder (which sounds like what you want). This has to be inserted as a plugin on one of the channel inserts on the audio sound or audio instrument you which to track. The third is a formant filter, which also should be set up as an insert. Hope that helps. markus On 5/18/02 9:27 AM, "Micke Nilsson" <mickenilsson@...> wrote: > that's what i've heard and that's cool. however, it would be great for > ten-thumb brains like mine to have some guidance on the way to the potential > purchase... > i tried using the evoc on a vocal track via the side-chain and couldn't get > it to work...only after i assigned an object to the audioinstrument in the > arrange window and wrote a triggering note in it...however then the note > was ringing and didn't follow pitch... > could be i'm just missing something...thanx for your response, > markus...perhaps if you get a chance you could check in your manual for > me...i'd appreciate it...best,mn [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
