Yeah it is really nice. I used it working against a marimba in a tune the
other day -- had it playing arpeggiated chords and it worked really well.

It would be great if it went just a little deeper -- don't know if the
instrument goes deeper though.

Hi Eli K!

I'm using your vibraphone in a jingle for a TV-show.
I love it.
But awhile ago you mentioned you might record an ever broader range of it.
Have you dropped the idea or is it still in progress?

Hi Murray and Anders,

The range of a standard vibraphone is three octaves. From a low F to a high F.
I believe, if my memory serves correct, that my lowest sample is a C a fifth
higher than the lowest note. So yes, I technically could sample the F a fifth
lower.

Unfortunately I don't keep my vibraphone at home regularly. It stays with my
band's transport company between gigs. I take it home occasionally, but
haven't in over a year now. That's one of the reasons why I sampled it!

Anyway, the next long strethch I have it at home for, I plan on doing some new
sampling with it (no vibrato, lower notes, different mallets, etc). But I'm
not certain when it will be. Probably not until at least September; we're
working fairly steadily all through the summer :-)
