A bit of a stumper

A bit of a stumper

Here's a weird one for the gang: what exs
parameter would disable incoming MIDI note-ons?

I've just successfully converted my first test
E-MU patch using Translator for Mac. It shows up
fine when I call it up in my EXS, the individual
samples show up when I press the 'e' button in
Edit mode, and they play fine when I click on the
speaker icon in the audio editor (they're .wav
files), all the parameters seem to be in order.
However, when I press on the EXS' virtual keyboard
or on my MIDI controller, nothin' happens, the
virtual keys don't go black. I made sure that it
wasn't the Audio Instrument's MIDI channel
assignment by loading up a different EXS program,
and it worked fine. I've read the EXS manual to
see if I could find anything about MIDI channel
assignment but to no avail. I also tried
defaulting the settings to Default EXS24 settings,
with no difference.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Ned

I wild guess. When trigger from the exs keyboard it is vel 80.
Maybe theres nothing at vel 80.

or maybe the tones are set to a group that has volume off (the ---dB field).
Did you make the new instrument, save it, and re-select it?
