New Patch

New Patch

2002-07-18 by Sascha Franck

http://www.saschafranck.de/exs/SF_FatES2_01.zip

Contains two patches, one "standard" comping patch and one detuned pad, both
using the same samples. The source file was some relatively simple but
rather fat sounding ES2 patch. Obviously the EXS uses up way less CPU power.
By default the filter is switched off, but I allready adjusted it a bit, so
check it out (also use the MOD-wheel). The pad patch however starts using
quite some CPU if you switch it on (has doubled zones).

Btw, does someone know of a VERY simple webpage editor? Something like
netscape composer with additional frame support would be pretty much
sufficient for me (I don't plan becoming a web designer). In any case it
should be WYSIWYG and it should not cost much (if anything at all). I want
to update that EXS site...

Cheers,
Sascha

The name is not that great, it's actually a rather mellow pad sound, but I
like it.
Apart from that, when fooling with some parameters, I found out that it
makes up for a really nice wide bass as well, so I included a bass patch
too.

Sampled from rgcAudio's Pentagon 1 - Ren\ufffd explicitely allowed sampling all
his softsynths (not that I'd think there would be any legal problems as long
as they aren't samplebased)
The patch completely depends on the ModWheel as it controls the filter
cutoff more or less drastically.

Sascha

Two variations. Check with filter on/off.

Have a nice day,
Sascha

Very nice. I like playing with the envelope 1 parameters with the filter on.
I especially like it with a nice slow release.

Nice to "virtually" see you around Sascha; it's been a while!

Glad it's of some use for you, Eli.

Well, yeah, it's been. Been busy and there's still no Mac for me yet, so I
decided to keep rather quiet (I am still using Logic almost exclusively,
btw.).

Cheers,
Sascha

Another nice patch. Thanks, Sascha.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
