Feature Request - easy GM drum maps

Feature Request - easy GM drum maps

2002-08-01 by mandcmiller

When assembling a drum kit and other one-shot samples, It would be
nice if you could load multiple zones and then have control over the
chromatic order of the samples regardless of their root note or alpha/
numeric order. For example, lets say you enter a folder and choose
all of the samples in the folder. Before you click done, you could
physically arrange the samples in the desired chromatic order... -
drag the kick to the top, followed by a side stick, etc... and then hit
done. This would be much easier than arranging key ranges after the
zones are loaded.

The best implementation of this, I can't remember what machine it was
on, is to cursor to the sample, and then play 3 notes, the root, low
and high. That way you can map a 60 sample instrument in one minute.
