There's no real clear and easy way to do this. On one hand, you could easily
save all your settings as a preset and simply recall it from the flip menu.
But there is no way to automate this sort of "settings chage". It could be a
useful feature for the soft instruments to have I suppose.

On the other hand, yhou could write to automation every single parameter you
want to be able to recall, and then insert these settings in your automation
track along the timeline where you want them. But it would be very
cumbersome to have to do "all" the possible settings. And if you want to do
it snapshot style, you'd probably be better off doing it the old fashioned
automation way; with a channel splitter object with the data contained in a
short sequence which you could freely place anywhere you need to.

You're probably not going to automate and change _every_ setting; so just
automate the parameters you are going to be changing in real time. I doubt
there would be more than a handful on any given instrument.

Tanks,Eli.
Already I had intuited it. It would be a good option.

I did a lot of automation, Pre V 5. You tie a splitter to the audio channel,
instrument or whatever in the environment, and select the splitter in the
arrange, recording plugin changes in the mixer while your record. You can
then ID the control info and automate it in hyper edit. You can do a filter
cutoff opening up or similar things in this way. -Jer
