EXS - GIGA Importing - Feature Req

EXS - GIGA Importing - Feature Req

2002-08-16 by nozehed

While I'm waiting for a complete re-import of my AKAI library I
thought I'd kill some time and ask this question again...

Has anyone had any luck with importing a Gigasampler Library which
has crossfading groups controlled by the mod-wheel?

Does anyone else value this feature as much as me?

To clarify the use of this feature, imagine a soft string sample
being able to become a loud string sample without having to
retrigger the note...as in a sustained note doing a crescendo. Giga
does this nicely, but it would be soooo convenient to be able to do
this with the EXS.

Yes...it would be way cool to have mod wheel xfades. Halion, which has
boasted Giga compatibility for months, still doesn't do it. My big question
is, Does the EXS perform xfades at all? If so...how do you xfade over a
given velocity range? Thanks in advance

I already know the answer to this....you can't....yet. If we all
rally for this feature, they might add it in :)

Yes it works.
I imported a giga libray and modwheel changes dimension just like
giga.

Which library, and what dimension effect?

Giggahap, Different ambience amounts, Has 4 different modwheel zones

No it has 3 different zones because 2 of them are identical.
But the original question was about crossfaded programs, the GigaHarp
doesn't use any crossfade but simple switch.

my bad
