Subject: [exs] Giga import problems with long sample names...

Hi,
I am currently testing the giga import of my own bass libraries
(www.scarbee.com)and I have come across a problem:
Long sample names like:
"CJ1S Gra-n-wh-slow-up-tail A#3.wav" (30 letters)
becomes: "CJ1S Gra-n-wh-slow-up-tail.wav"
****************************
try to use "Joliet access"

a small extension to put in your system :)
google and go !
igor

Try the Joliet Volume Access at www.tempel.org. Get the freeware one. The
shareware one should be OK, but from what I've found it doesn't work sometimes.

But the problem actually is that the Mac has a 31 character limit. (lack of
Joliet would be worse, you'd get CJ1SGr~1 and such...) It would have been
nice if the convertor had some intelligence to identify then note names.
What a good idea, mmm... =)

Nah... I'll better rename the long samples...it'll take a while
though!

PS. I cant hear the release samples - do I have to make this
manually?
