I've just bought Stylus and am v impressed with it - there was some blurb
advertising a bass trilogy and pad inst. supplied with it.

Does anyone know when these are coming out?

Yes, all the info is on their website, where you purchased Stylus.

I bought it too, but Im not really impressed so far: its socalled "vinyl
sound" is very clean, too much room and modulation, too many processed similar
loops (variations), it is very much mainstream. Some loops are dated!! The
big plus is the concept behind, the groovefiles. If the sounds would kick
more, if it would be more like a funky drummer, it would be my tool...I know,
just a matter of taste, but after reading only postings in this group praising
Spectrasonics, sometimes thiis forum seems to be a advertisement
platform...Sometimes I think we should discuss how to make samples by ourselves instead
of "whow theres a fantastic new library out, lets buy it"
Cheers Joh

I felt this way too, I felt many of the beats and sounds were very
dated, yes, they were meant to be "Vinylized beats",
but alot of them were just too old sounding to be useable, some
of them of the over industrial/over effected Distorted
Reality/Metamorphisis variety, all of course just a matter of taste,
but had been used in every Travel Channel promo, every movie
score, and every Fear Factor/Dog Eat Dog/Survivor episode.

After using it for a couple of months now, I have found it to be a
great toolkit for tracks, whether it be for a quick groove control
shaker or tambo loop, or for a quick dj scratch or reverse cymbal.
it is a great resource overall.
