EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

In converting Akai discs to EXS24, or any other discs for that 
matter, is it good as a general rule to use the -6db attenuation in 
the EXS24 conversion window, or in CDXtract or other programs.

I converted the AKAI version of Spectrasonics BackBeat 
CD-Rom to EXS24 without the attenuation, and it appeared to 
be entirely to loud to be useable well over 6 db of clipping on the 
meters with the fader set to 0. I notice that there are a couple of 
different settings, - 3db  drums, - 6db Average, and none, for 
now, the -6db average seems to do fine,

 Just curious if there are any general rules to consdier when 
making these settings.
