creating groups

2002-10-03 by scf333

Just got the EXS and I have a couple of questions. Importing
some gigasamples like pure drums, if I want to group all my
snares together do I have to open each velocity layer and assign
it to a group. I can't seem to find a way to select all the samples
assigned to one key and group them together other than
selecting each of the sixteen velocity layers individually.
The copy of EXS i bought turned out to be a send in the cd
version. Tried to load in the samples from the installation disk
but the EXS can't see them. They are in the correct sample
folder. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help

Not sure if I understand your question right, but... you can
shift-select the zones in the instrument editor. Then "open" one of
the selected zones (small triangle on the zone 'boxes'), and while
pressing option, pick the right group from the group-popup. All
selected zones will now be assigned to that group.
