EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

A question for you more experienced users out there....Is it common for the
EXS24 to have occasional problems in converting Akai discs?  Read errors,
skipping portions, occasional freezes?  Is this why many people use the
other available translator or extract programs?  Or is my system unique in
that it doesn't always reliably convert the discs?  Thanks, everyone!

I have this problem and figure it's because some of my akai CD's are 
in rough shape from overuse.
