EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hello all.

Apologies if this has been covered before; with almost 700 previous 
messages I have only had time for a cursory glance.

As a new user of the EXS24 there's something confusing me about 
conversions from Akai discs. When a programme has two or more samples 
mapped to the same key, for example a drumkit with velocity switching 
providing different sounds, I can't see where this information is
held 
or where it can be altered. There is only one group shown, with 
velocity settings of 1-127 accepted, yet it's as if there's an 
invisible group somewhere with different pan and velocity settings 
affecting the samples.

Where should I be looking to get into these settings and change them?

Velocity switching can also be applied directly to the zones -- it need not
be done at the group level. So look at the zones which are sitting on that
note -- the velocity switching if applied will be specified there and can
be edited.

You're absolutely right, Murray. 

The velocity switching on the zones needs to be ticked under the View 
command on the instrument editor, and isn't on the default setting. I 
never even realised it was there!
