Need new sounds... Which Route?

Short and sweet: I need new sounds for my studio. Should I do the whole UVI thing? Or hardware sound modules? Or should I do sample CD's? Opinions? Comments? I'm looking at the XV 5050, I will get the MOTIF Rack (selling my motif 7 and I need the sounds for my old songs) and was also thinking about a Proteus 2000 for the hell of it (all in all about $2000). I will be getting also Stylus (heard too many good things). But should I go all out with the likes of Trilogy, Sample Tank, Plug sound, etc.? I worry about the limitations (such as upgrading and updating the sounds they contain). Also looking at sample CD's. I do plan on buying some, I haven't before because of a fear of buying bullsh*t, but I need to dip my toe in the water. Anyone care to recommend some good manufacturers or particular CD sets in EXS24 format? I do hip hop, but I don't let that limit my soundscape, so I need a little bit of everything, vinyl drums, orchestral strings, techno bleeps and bloops, and vintage keys, you get the point. Mark
