Vienna Symphonic Library

Vienna Symphonic Library

2003-03-02 by ewald_kegel <ekegel@cone.nl>

Our "Symphonic Booth", which had its debut performance at the Winter
NAMM Show in Anaheim, can now be seen - and of course, heard - for
the first time in Europe! In this acoustically optimized space
(protected from the noise of the show) we will present a cross-
section of the Vienna Symphonic Library´s First Edition, with a
special focus on our revolutionary MIDI utility, "Performance Tool".
And of course, you can try it for yourself to see how easy it is to
play legato passages or repetitions - and hear how authentic it
sounds!

Also in Frankfurt we will present the Vienna Symphonic Library in
EXS24 format, which will be ready for shipping soon after the show.
There has already been a tremendous amount of anticipation for this
release with many eager Logic users ready for a complete, fully
integrated symphonic orchestra in their systems.

Good news for Vienna/EXS

2003-03-04 by Colin Shapiro

I just read this post on the VSL forum from Herb (the owner of VSL).
Someone asked about the performance tool software for the EXS24
version and Herb replied:

Sounds very exciting indeed....

To Bill Canty who asked what this "thang" actually is, it's a set of
tools for working with the Vienna Library. For example, the Legato
Tool allows you to program phrases with notes that actually join, as
live players would do it. You can also play repeated notes with
different articulations and so on.
