Calling PC Users, Would any of you like to tell me what your system specs are and what audio interface(s) you are using successfully. I am most interesting in learning about budget external AIs that cut it. Thanks, Leah

Although they may not fit into your description of "budget AI's", I can highly recommend RME! WIN XP SP1 tweaked using some of the www.tweakxp.com tips. LAWP 5.5.1 - the best LAW by far, an absolute Gem, along with EXS 24, ES 2, EVP 88, Evoc 20, EVD6 and soundiver 3.0.4 Native instruments Absynth, FM7, Pro 52/53, B4, Kontakt (the crossgrade offer last year got me, I like kontakt a lot, it comes with a very nice library of "basics" Steinbergs "the grand", rebirth 2, PPG wave 2.v Cubase SX - again, the cubase crossgrade, although I haven't really been pushed to get stuck into learning cubase. Samplitude 2496 rev. 6 - wonderful program for audio work, has some very comprehensive sample edit features Waves Native Power Pack 3.6, Rennaisance collection 3.6 - bread and butter audio processing plug ins, a must IMHO. The computer is only used for Audio, no internet, no games, no MS office!! The only "non DAW" setting is that I have a LAN connection to some other machines. It all works like a dream, fast and _very_ stable. HTH kind regards Mark Cahill
