Can't open Instruments in Editor

Can't open Instruments in Editor

2003-03-12 by timoathome

Hi,

I recently ported over all my EXS instruments from my PC to my new Mac. All
the instruments load fine in EXS and are playable, but I can't open any of
them in Instrument Editor - they are "greyed out." The instruments that loaded
from the Logic CD directly onto the computer, however, do open up in editor
just fine.

Logic Plat 5.5
Mac os x 10.2.4
exs24 mk ii

Does anyone know a solution to this? I'm expecting Logic 6 soon (who isn't...),
does this problem exist in 6 as well?

Thanks for your help,
Timo

Your files restored from back up may be locked. Do a "get info" on an exs24
instrument from the transfer and make sure that it is not "locked". I may be
totally off here, but it's worth a check. -Jer

No, that's not it, they're not locked. Good thought, though.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
