EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi All,

I had a wierd thing happen to me yesterday. I had an EXS instrument loaded and it's edit winodw open. It was a multi sample percussion instrument. I wanted to delete all the zones except one, then stretch across the entire range, and then do a "save as" from the editor window to save it as a new instrument.

When I invoked the "save as" function the entire screen turned white. I could switch screen sets and all the menues worked, but every single screen set and window in logic was completely white. Quitting and rebooting solved it.

Anyone else seen this before? This is in Logic Platinum Mac v.5.2

I and a number of others users in this group have had similar problems. My 
problem seems to manifest itself when I'm opening and closing a bunch of 
zone windows. That often makes the screens go white. It seems worse when I 
open a zone or two and then the zones at the bottom of thhe screen are 
pushed out of view. Then when you close the upper zones, its as if Logic is 
unable to redraw the lower zones that should be coming back into view. I also 
noticed that this problem is not as bad in 5.5. So. you might want togive that a 
try.

Anyone try the Sonic Implants Solo Brass and Brass Sections soundfont?

I did and either the patches are horribly out of tune or the EXS has 
somehow mangled them.

Any tips for retuning a bunch of zones at a time?

Yes, sounds very familiar.  Haven't seen it anymore since using 5.5 though.
