[Exs] Are you looking for a Logic Audio engineer in New York?

[Exs] Are you looking for a Logic Audio engineer in New York?

2003-03-19 by Nassau

I am a Logic Audio engineer with over 8 years of professional experience. I
have worked with big productions, from the first step with midi programming,
through to vocal and instrument recording, through to mixing. I am very
confident with the program and its capabilities.

Do you need, or know someone who needs, a Logic engineer in New York for any
project, big or small? If you do, please email me privately at
nassau@....

So are these kind of ads cool with all of you? This is the second ad in a
week or so. Aren't most of us qualified for this position? Geez. Seems
pretty off-topic to me... Jer

I think it's cool if it's only to the OT list. I think this one went to
every list. Probably not the best place post though since like you said,
everyone on the list is already a Logic user and thus is less likely to
need to hire one.

I think it's alright...there are many others on this list promoting their
merchandise/services in various ways. mn

Yeah, I thought about that too. But, by enlarge, they are directly related
to sample usage or purchase... thinking of Eric (EP) of course, or our group
buys of software. The guy doing the pitching seems nice. I'm not suggesting
he's being intentionally obnoxious ‹ just very bold. And I was interested in
peoples perspective on this kind of marketing approach. -Jer

I don't think he's suggstioning that he's better skilled (or worse) than
anyone on this list. He's probably moved from Sweden (according to his
e-mail address) to New York and need projects to work on. Simply looking for
a job. Why not post it here? Most of us are in the business and even though
we might not need an engineer/programmer ourselves we might know of someone
who does or other on-going projects/studios looking for skilled people.

I for one hope that if I am in a similar situation one day, I could drop a
request here and it was taken positively, and even become fruitful.

All the best.

True. A compelling train of thought! -Jer

Hi people, I just thought I'd trow that message (the original job posting)
on here and hope for the best. I know we are all Logic heads but I see some
"Need help in Kansas City ASAP" messages here and there so I figure I might
be lucky. And seeing as I myself don't read 95% of the messages on this list
I figured that most people wouldn't be annoyed by another messages not
directly aimed at them. I hope I didn't do that. Peace.

And hey, I got a few answers to my job posting! :)

That's very cool. I, for one, am not upset. The discussion was interesting.
And I originally sounded more annoyed than I actually was. Congratulations,
and thanks for taking the time to comment. -Jer
