It requires a Mac.

And I would love it if whoever answers this includes converting to Mac
esx24 as well. I am playing with a demo of CDXtract, but for the sample
cell stuff it seems I have to select every instrument one at a time (via
batch), but I would prefer a way to just batch convert an entire CD in one
swoop. Is this possible?

Since CDExtract is dual platform and by default converts to exs using wav
files, that's probably the best solution, but I am pretty new to EXS so
there may be better options I don't know of yet.

Translator - the Windows version reads Mac disks directly and converts both
SampleCell I and II banks and instruments to .exs files and .wav (or AIFF
if you want) files. Translator is the only software that can do this.

SampleCell can reference any of the following sample formats - WAVE, AIFF,
Sound Designer I and II, or Mac sound files (System 7). Translator handles
all these equally well.

A new build is due up later today that supports Mark II format completely,
as well as supports the extensive modulation capabilities of SampleCell...

You don't have to select one instrument at a time, you can convert one
folder at a time or select several folders in the batch converter to convert
them all at one time. I'm already working on a new update that will
automatically convert the full disk as it does for other formats like
Akai, Roland or Emu.

Great, now please tell me how because it will only allow me to add
individual programs to the batch window. If I don't have an individual
program selected all options are greyed out. Please let me know the secret
(probably something simple). Thanks! :-)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
