EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Setup: Logic Plat Ver 5.5; EXS ver 2;Mac OS 9.x; Titanium G4 with built in CD/CDRW drive.

I upgraded recently to LA Plat 5.5 and the new EXS.  At the weekend, I attempted to do an AKAI convert from the EXS menu as I've always been able to do, but I've run into the same problem as the recent posters who are using OSX.  The Mac doesn't recognise the CD.. 

Any advice? - I'm reluctant to go out and buy ChickenSys or CDExtract as I only own a handful of sample CD's and they are all AKAI, so if there's something I can do without spending more money, I'd appreciate it.  I can't understand why it isn't working anymore because I'm still on OS 9.x...

Sorry Elith, my original post wasn't clear enough - I'm not using OSX at all - I'm still in 9.2 and the conversion process has stopped working after upgrading to LAM 5.5.
