Does anyone have any experience using Giga samples on the exs24mkII? I'm purchasing the exs and I want to purchase a few giga libraries. How well do they work with the exs? Do they need conversion first, or can I read them directly? Will I have access to all of the Giga features without reprogramming the instruments?

Not meant as a personal attack, but: doesn't anybody ever _read_ the messages posted here? The subject of giga-conversion seems to come up at least once a week, generating at least 10 replies, rehashing the same issues over and over again. If you do a search for 'giga' in the group's archives, I bet you find more answers than you like :-). -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/

Hi, Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 6:38:55 PM, you wrote: S> I did see a thread on giga conversions but I was having difficulty S> figuring out how to view the entire thread from beginning to end. Check out www.gmane.org which is a free news server that helps view regular mailing lists as a newsgroup. The main benefit of this is it groups all messages in the same thread together, and it also has a very fast search engine. The news server is news.gmane.org and this group is under gmane.comp.audio.emagic.exs ... Gmane also encrypts all of our email addresses over there to prevent any spammers from harvesting our emails (which is very common on newsgroups). Or you can view it from the web: http://news.gmane.org/thread.php?group=gmane.comp.audio.emagic.exs Right now only the most recent 1700 messages are over there but before too long we'll have the entire archive imported if anyone wants to go back and download all of the messages into a newsgroup reader.

Hello ! Giga samples sound great in the EXS. What you have to do first is to convert those samples to EXS format. How to do that ?? O.K : First you have to open an EXS instrument in one of your Audio insruments. Than you'll have to select " Giga convert under the options menu within the EXS main menu ( Top right ). After doing that just follow the instructions given. Good luck and have fun !! Dror --- In exs-users@yahoogroups.com, "ecstaticstudios" <ecstatic@e...> wrote:
