I had that recently. I needed a new REX shared library. mine had become
corrupt or was an older version that didn't work properly. I think the
version I have is 1.2.3.

Teddy, Patrick: just had the problem myself when I installed 6.1...

Here¹s the fix, see below, direct from propellerheads... Note it will
require the rex shared library which they emailed to me... I can send this
to you privately if you like.

craig

³This is what happens, the Logic 6.1 installer replaces the REX Shared
Library File with a corrupt version of the file.

To fix this, do the following.

1. Make sure that no applications are running.
2. Locate the REX Shared library file on your Hard disk, it's stored in:

Macintosh HD -> Library -> Application Support

3. Delete this file.
4. Unstuff the proper version of this file, which is attached in this mail.
5. Place this new REX Shared Library File, where the older file was stored,
i.e. in: Macintosh HD -> Library -> Application Support²

Go to propellerheads web site and download the rex extension for OSX.
They have instructions on this "bug" caused by the Logic installer.

Should be 1.2.5 (build 51).
Download it and do a get info... If it matches up, you¹re good to go.

Re: Recycle Problem

2003-06-18 by teddybut

yes, I am aware of that problem from props site. I used a new REX shared
library from M-audio. I have replaced it with the file from Props too but no
luck yet. Do I have to trash my recycle prefs or something weird? all the
files are 1.2.5 (build 51)

if you have the file for use in OS9 (their's says it's for OSX) I'd be much
obliged you forwarding it to me.

thanks,
teddy

Ah, sorry Teddy, I should have taken a closer look at what system you were
using. I run OS X only.
